How to reset forgotten original admin password on mac?
Posted in Uncategorized on September 28th, 2010 by adminI’ve forgotten my original admin password. Most help pages say something like this:
“Boot from the OS X install disc. There is an option under the Utilities menu that allows you to reset your password. ”
When I boot the install disc there IS NO UTILITIES MENU- just an Installer menu with nothing on it. What can be done? Please help.

The ability to do this varies depending on which OS X install CD you have. Typically, when you boot from the install CD, the OS installer launches. You first need to Quit the installer before other options are seen on the menu.
