I forgot the password for my admin account on my vista and now I only have a standard account I can use. I need the admin account back because I need to install updates. Can anyone tell me how to get the account back? And I already tried ophcrack and trinity rescue kit, didn’t work.

you can not find the password, as it is encrypted by a one-way process and can not be read. You may need to re-install the system.

Easiest way is to reinstall the OS. Alternatively, use http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/bootdisk.html
